The thing with Meshuggah is the way they line up the riffs! The weird ways of the guitars, and the brilliant drums. If you are a musucian you could enjoy it just for the thrill of the beats. I know I do.
Yep, Protest the Hero is Mathcore/hardcore/ prog. There is also Math Metal tho. Core and metal doesn’t usually mix publicly, but it’s all music. Human abstract is kinda math metal/ progressive, and everyone knows born of osiris and all their greatness is Mathcore/ deathmetal/progressive.

@betvarin It’s alright my child, let me teach you. lol jk. It’s math metal, either you like or not. If you wanna get into it, trust me, listen to it over and over until it’s all you want to hear. Every little tiny part of the music is mathematically engineered, of course the solo is shitty in this on purpose. it just takes a little getting used to. Listen to the modernized bands of math metal like Veil of Maya and The Faceless, and you’ll come around to Meshuggah
ok i haven’t take a look at the lyrics yet, but i play guitar in a band. im a big fan of agressive music but i prefer Trivium, Dream Theater and Opeth…I was told that Meshuggah is a genious band but i dont understand why so tell me guys

You like it or you don’t. An interest in weird rhythmic concepts would help
