Arkona (Russian: Аркона) is a Russian folk metal band. Their lyrics are heavily influenced by Russian folklore, and Slavic mythology, and their music incorporates several traditional Russian musical instruments. The name of the band “Arkona” was the last pagan Slavic city-castle.
The band was founded in 2002 and as of January 2007 they have published four albums, one demo, one compilation and one concert DVD.

Pagan Metal legend Arkona presents their dedicated following with the eagerly awaited live DVD “Noch Velesova” (“Night of Veles”). The highlight of this release is the bands Moscow performance, where they performed a stunning selection of songs from their voluminous discography.
